O álbum de estréia do Audioslave e o mais vendido, até hoje, da banda.
Apesar dos criticos variarem muito sobre o álbum (há quem diga que é um lixo,
outros dizem que era o que essa geração do rock precisava no mainstream), é
um dos meus álbuns favoritos.
Passando por alguns problemas, como um cara que lançou algumas demos na internet,
seis meses antes da estréia e a internação do Chris Cornell na reabilitação, o
álbum foi lançado no final de 2002, com o single de estréia sendo Cochise.
É legal de se escutar num volume muito alto. Essêncial pra quem gosta de rock
clássico (ou pra quem gosta da guitarra do Tom Morello, no Rage Against The Machine).
O vocal do Cornell é bastante amplo, pra quem já ouviu ele no Soundgarden ou nos
seus projetos solos, pode ter uma primeira impressão que o vocal está ‘sujo’.
Mas, uma vez habituado, é impossível não gostar desse álbum.

Sim, é um dos meus álbuns favoritos de todos os tempos e eu dei nota 8.
Minha nota geral das análises é feita usando a média da soma das notas individuais de cada música do álbum.
Considerando apenas o “vale a pena comprar”, eu daria dez.
Se bem que poderia ter dado 9 pelo Cornell ser tão gostoso.

QUANDO EU COMPREI ESSE ALBUM PENSEI QUE NAO IRIA GOSTAR, PORQUE ESTAVA ACOSTUMADA A VER O CHRIS CORNELL NO SOUNDGARDEN, MAIS QUANDO OUVI ACHEI MUITO BOM. TUDO BEM QUE A VOZ DO CHRIS NAO ESTA COMO ANTES MAIS GOSTEI. E TAMBEM PORQUE SOU FAN DE TOM MORELLO ELE TOCA MUITO!!!! EU DARIA NOTA 8
